Government
- The Senate Judiciary Committee held a hearing on FOIA during Sunshine Week (POGO)
- The Federal Reserve has turned to Twitter in an effort to increase transparency. They also plan to share videos of Ben Bernanke’s speeches. (Executive Gov)
Revolving Door
- Advisers to retiring members of Congress are starting to head through the revolving door. Staff for Senator Jon Kyl (R-AZ) and Kent Conrad (D-ND) are heading to the Glover Park Group and Washington Council Ersnt & Young. (National Journal)
- POGO launched a project to follow the revolving door between the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and the private sector. (National Journal)
International
- Three major South Korean television stations are joining forces to protest editorial censorship imposed by station management and the government. (Global Voices)
- China is forcing certain political websites to delete content after a recent upheaval that resulted in the firing of a high ranking government official. (AP/Yahoo)
