We are surprised and thrilled to see that TIME Magazine named the Sunlight Foundation's Politwoops project as one of their selections for the 50 Best Websites of 2012. TIME editors sought out "useful, entertaining, innovative or just plain addictive" sites that weren't yet household names and filed Politwoops in the Quirky category, calling the site "strangely fascinating." We could not be more proud and are excited to announce that the project is undergoing a serious overhaul. Among many changes, soon it will have a snazzy new design, better sorting by state or office, more politicians including campaign accounts and a better database management that will make results come through faster.
Thank you to TIME for encouraging their readers to check out Politwoops, the original Dutch site Politwoops.nl and congratulations to our fellow winners, including Sunlight favorites like Codecademy and If This Then That.
