Corrections to Program Obligations
Clearspending uses the Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) program obligations for its consistency check with USASpending data. The CFDA represents the best available comparison point for USASpending, but its data is not perfect. Since our primary goal was to measure the quality of data in USASpending, we have made corrections to CFDA data where appropriate. These corrections are listed here and are based on a combination of our own research and input from federal agencies. If you work with a federal agency or a specific program and would like to update your reported obligations, please contact us.
Please note that on February 7th, 2013 we published a small update to the data to address a small bug in our import process. It affected less than 0.1% of the data.
