The Supreme Court recently ruled that aggregate contribution limits to political candidates are unconstitutional. Although we are disappointed by this outcome, we will continue to push for real-time transparency of hard money contributions.

Thank you for joining Sunlight in the transparency movement!

We'll be updating you with ways you can take action in the coming weeks and months, so stay tuned when you see emails from a guy named Jake Brewer or woman named Ellen Miller.

We'd also love to hear from you, and there's a bunch of ways we like to do that. Join our Facebook fan page and follow us on Twitter to start.

When we write, some of the requests you can expect from us are:

  • Making phone calls to your representatives about specific issues
  • Small actions through Transparency Corps that will take you less than 5 minutes but help us build BIG databases of government data (actually... you can do this right now!)
  • Signing petitions that we will submit to congressional leaders demanding their action
  • Laughing at our bad jokes
  • Inviting others you know to join us as well
  • Your voice and your actions are absolutely crucial in helping to make government more transparent and accountable.

...that's not an exaggeration.

Thank you!
