Matt Rumsey is a Policy Associate and the Director of the Advisory Committee on Transparency at the Sunlight Foundation. He works primarily on Congressional and Executive branch policy with a focus on open data, spending transparency, information policy, and more. He currently serves as the Sunlight Foundation's representative on the Congressional Data Coalition Steering Committee. He has a BA in History from American University. In addition to open government and transparency issues, Matt is passionate about local government and politics, Major League Baseball, and his slow cooker. He has been quoted or reprinted in Roll Call, The Washington Examiner, Federal Computer Week, Fedscoop, TechCrunch, and more. He has also blogged about local issues for Greater Greater Washington. Originally from Connecticut, Matt has lived in DC on and off since 2005.
