Andrew Yaspan

Open Cities Fellow

Andrew Yaspan is an Open Cities Fellow. He contributes to the Open Cities team’s data processing, analysis, and visualization with the goal of helping local governments adopt effective open data policies.

Prior to joining Sunlight, Andrew served as a Summer Fellow with the Invisible Institute in Chicago to work on making police complaints and use-of-force data from New Orleans available to the public. Prior to this, Andrew was a Health Project and Policy Analyst with the City of New Orleans Health Department where he worked on Affordable Care Act outreach and enrollment, among other projects.

He graduated from Bucknell University with a B.A. in Political Science. He is currently earning an M.S. in Computational Analysis and Public Policy at the University of Chicago.
