Nathan Zencey

Open Cities Fellow

Nathan Zencey is an Open Cities Fellow. He contributes to the Open Cities team’s data processing, analysis, and visualization with the goal of helping local governments adopt effective open data policies.

Prior to joining Sunlight, Nathan served as a Senior Advisor in the Department of the Treasury’s Office of Business Affairs and Public Liaison. He previously worked on the successful Medicaid Expansion advocacy campaign in Alaska, where he coordinated media activity and organizing efforts for a coalition of over two-dozen organizations. Nathan was also the Political Director for Senator Mark Begich’s 2014 re-election campaign.

He graduated from Chapman University with a B.A. in Political Science. He is currently earning an M.S. in Data Science at George Washington University.
