Former senators Byron Dorgan and Bob Bennett have signed on to the lobbying firm Arent Fox. According to USA Today:

Republican Robert Bennett and Democrat Byron Dorgan are joining Arent Fox LLP, which lobbies on a host of issues including health care, trade, and technology and financial policy.

The firm focused most of its lobbying efforts on appropriations and federal budget issues. According to the Center for Responsive Politics, appropriations and budgets issues were mentioned on 42 reports filed by the firm through the third quarter of 2010. Former Sen. Bennett previously sat on the Senate Appropriations Committee and is well-known as a smart appropriator who understands the process.
