FINRA Data Should be Open
Sunlight just submitted comments to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, or FINRA, on their plan to improve the way information is released. The comments are embedded below.
The short version is that FINRA should do a better job enabling outside analysis of the investment industry, and, to enable better online disclosure, their data should be made available for bulk download, to maximise reuse and analysis. For more background, see Nancy Watzman’s reporting on FINRA.
