- Land Deals Database: An international group of researchers and NGOs has launched the world’s largest public database to track international land deals. - A corrupt proposal: A satirical letter was sent to the President of Nigeria, poking fun and pointing out the serious corruption issues going on in the country. (Sahara Reporters)
- War over open standards in the U.K.: a Cabinet Office consultation resulted in a policy favoring royalty-free open standards in the U.K., but corporations worried about their profits have waged a hidden war against the proposal. (O’Reilly Radar)
