Fedspending.org Hits 10 Million
This June, Fedspending.org, the contracts and grants database run by OMB Watch, reached its 10 millionth search. Today the database is getting 1 million searches per month.
Citizens are hungry for information about their government and the success of federal spending databases highlights that desire. Fedspending shows the success of opening government information to the public, allowing anyone to interact and research with data pertinent to them.
OMB Watch has also announced the full release of all FY 2007 contract and grant data and all data for the first two quarters of FY 2008 to Fedspending.org. Congratulations to OMB Watch and Fedspending; for those of you who made those 10 million searches, good hunting.
