On November 30, the House of Representatives released its third quarter Statement of Disbursements (July 1-Sept. 30) online in PDF format for the first time. We parsed that document to create a searchable database and wrote about our efforts.

The fourth quarter ended at the stroke of midnight on December 31st. This prompts a couple of questions:

• How long will it take for the fourth quarter’s Statement of Disbursements to be made available online?
• Will there be any changes in the document to make it easier for people to extract data?
• When will the print version be available from GPO? And where?

We’ve put together a wiki resource on Congressional vital statistics, with an emphasis on staff salary resources. We’re still trying to fill in the gaps.
