What do TransparencyCamp and National Day of Civic Hacking have in common?
Answer: You!
This year, Sunlight’s opengov unconference, TransparencyCamp, coincides with National Day of Civic Hacking (NDoCH), a nationwide event planned in coordination with the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy that aims to improve our communities and the government that serves them through events in 91 cities. So, how are we going to manage these two amazing events simultaneously?
So many events, so little time

With TCamp14 and NDoCH on the same weekend this year, we decided to coordinate and maximize the potential of the two events, essentially: open government squared.
What does this mean?
At TCamp, we’ll bring you speakers and organizers live from National Day of Civic Hacking events (yay, technology!), live-streaming our keynote and lightning talk speakers, submitting and promoting challenges at the civic hacking sandbox and inviting participation at TCamp sessions via Etherpad. Also, expect pretty high traffic on #TCamp14 and #hackforchange. Comment below if you have suggestions on how we can share ideas and promote content at both events.
All this is to say…
If you are in the D.C. area for the weekend of May 30th, come join us at TransparencyCamp — and if you can’t make it to D.C., check out these events in your hometown for National Day of Civic Hacking! We are thrilled to have you participate, wherever that may be, and we are all looking forward to having a fun-filled, civic hacking, open government scheming, tech geekery, data nerding weekend.
