Earlier this year, Sunlight Foundation Co-Founder and Chairman Mike Klein wrote of the history of our organization and our need to find a new executive director. Since that time, the board of directors has created a three-member Executive Director Search Committee to guide the process of hiring. I chair this committee and Sue Gardner, along with Mike Klein, serve on it as well.

The committee is charged with designing and running the executive director recruitment process, and for selecting a finalist candidate to recommend to the full board for its approval. Communications Director Jenn Topper serves as staff liaison.

We’ve hired Lisa Grossman of m/Oppenheim Associates to lead the search. Now we’re ready to open the search and make a broad callout for our next leader.
