• If you’re a federal employee, you can contribute to the Sunlight Foundation through the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC). CFC is a program that allows federal employees to donate to approved organizations through payroll deduction – making it easy to take a stand for transparency. Sunlight’s CFC number is 59063.
• Lots of other companies, such as Apple, Gannett, Google and Microsoft, offer employee payroll deduction or employee matching programs. You can double your impact by supporting Sunlight through these programs.
• If you’re an Amazon shopper, you can now support Sunlight’s mission simply by shopping for the things you want at AmazonSmile. AmazonSmile is the Amazon you already know – same products, same prices – but with a charitable twist: Amazon will donate a portion of your eligible purchases directly to Sunlight. You can keep government accountable while you shop!
• Of course, asking your friends to join you in support of Sunlight is a direct and easy way to create more impact too (and spread the word about how important open data and open government are to you).
